Fixed Facilities

The owners and/or operators of a site that uses any form of hazardous materials in it's operations must be aware of the severe potential environment liabilities they face.

  • Most manufacturing firms use products in their manufacturing processes that are deemed to be hazardous when release into the environment.

  • Many manufacturers and wholesalers deal with products that would produce hazardous byproducts in the event they were subject to a fire at the premises.

  • There can be significant exposure to pollution events at operations that would not typically associated with hazardous materials.  These include:

    • Colleges and universities
    • Retail malls
    • Repair garages and body shops
    • Golf courses
    • Agricultural operations
    • Printers
    • Auto & Truck Dealerships
    • Vacant Land or Facilities

Because most risk management advisers do not have expertise in environmental matters, it is likely that they will miss your exposure to a significant risk when addressing your risk management plan.
