Richard Dresher was first licensed as an insurance
broker in 1978. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a
Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1983. Richard returned to the University
of Toronto in 1991 on a part-time basis, where he subsequently added an
Environmental Studies major to his degree. That work culminated in a
major submission to the task force re-writing the Decommissioning
Guidelines for Contaminated Sites in Ontario. He continued on at the
University of Toronto to complete his Masters of Science degree in Urban
Planning. His Master's thesis, Impediments to Brownfield Re-development

at CMD Insurance.
Richard has been involved in the environmental industry since the
early 1990's. This includes:
- Member of the executive committee of Board of Directors for the
Ontario Environmental Industry Association
- Eastern Canada representative to the International Right-of-way
Association's environmental committee
